How we work with designers

The terms, in plain English.

No application, no portal, no account manager. You call the workroom, we quote the piece, and the same people you spoke to are the ones who build it.

Send a spec sheet
01 COM

Fabric from any book

Send COM from whichever book the project calls for. We do not restrict you to a line.

02 Yardage

Estimated together

We give our number, you give yours. Whoever calls for the different amount carries that risk, agreed before we cut.

03 Shipping

Ship it or we collect

Send fabric to whichever workroom is running the job, or leave it with the piece and we bring both in together.

04 Payment

50 percent to start

Half to schedule the work, balance on completion.

05 Lead time

1 to 2 weeks

Busy season runs 2 to 3. We tell you which one you are in before you commit to a client date.

06 Delivery

White glove, our van

Our own drivers, both directions, quoted separately from the work itself.

07 Pricing

Volume, by conversation

There is no blanket trade discount. Significant volume is negotiated directly with ownership.

08 Opening

A call or a visit

Come to the workroom, or we will come to you. That is the whole process.

How a trade job runs

4 steps, 1 contact.

The same voice from the first estimate through the delivery date.

Step 01

Send the spec

Photos, dimensions, and the fabric you have in mind. A number and a yardage estimate come back to you.

Step 02

Agree the yardage

Our estimate and yours, reconciled in writing before anything is ordered or cut.

Step 03

We collect

Fabric ships to the workroom running the job, or travels in with the piece when we pick it up.

Step 04

White glove back

Delivered and placed by our own drivers, on the date you were given.

Where we work

Coast, and past it.

Hilton Head, Bluffton, Beaufort, Savannah, Charleston and Myrtle Beach are home ground, and our van runs them weekly. We deliver north through Greenville and as far as Charlotte, and south to Jacksonville, for designers who want the same bench on a project outside the Lowcountry.

Before you write

Questions designers ask first.

If yours is not here, put it in the message box and we will answer it in the estimate.

Do you offer trade pricing?

Not as a blanket discount. Significant volume is negotiated directly with ownership, so if you are bringing a project of real size, ask and we will talk about it properly rather than apply a standard percentage.

Can I send my own fabric?

Yes. COM from any book. Ship it to whichever workroom is running the job, or leave it with the piece and we will collect both together.

Who covers it if the yardage runs short?

We estimate the yardage and so do you. Whoever calls for the different amount carries that risk, and it is agreed before anything is cut, so nobody finds out afterwards.

How long does a piece take?

1 to 2 weeks in normal conditions, 2 to 3 in busy season. We tell you which one you are in before you commit to a date with your client.

How do I open a trade account?

Call the workroom or come by. There is no application. If it is easier, we will come to you instead.
