How we handle COM

COM handling for hospitality properties.

Fabric arrives from your mill or your designer's book, and we build the piece to it. Brand standards on stitch, seam and construction are followed the way the spec sheet reads. Cleanability and durability are chosen against what the room actually sees, not against a catalogue default.

How a hospitality job runs

How a hotel upholstery job runs.

The property runs on its own calendar. We fit around it.

Step 01

Site survey

We come to the property, count seats, log conditions, and receive the brand book or designer spec that governs the work.

Step 02

Approval

Cost, timeline and material samples signed off before any work begins. Install schedule proposed by wing, floor or F&B block.

Step 03

Build off site

Pieces cycle through our workroom in phases. The property stays open through the whole job, and the calendar keeps moving.

Step 04

Install

Overnight or between-turn installs so rooms return to inventory the same day. Nothing goes back into service until it is signed off.

Before you write

Hospitality questions we get most.

If yours is not here, put it in the message box and we will answer it in the estimate.

Can you keep the property open during the job?

Yes. Pieces cycle through our workroom in phases and are reinstalled overnight or between room turns. The property never has to close for a refresh.

Do you handle COM from our brand book?

Yes. Fabric arrives from the mill or from your designer's book, and we build to it. Brand standards on stitch, seam and construction are followed the way the spec sheet reads.

Who is responsible for the fabric specification?

On almost every hotel job the fabric is COM, supplied by the property or its designer, so the specification sits with whoever chose it. We build to whatever arrives and we will flag anything that looks wrong for the application before we cut, but the compliance call belongs to the owner or designer.

How is scheduling handled?

Wing by wing, floor by floor, or by F&B block, depending on how the property runs. The install schedule is agreed in the estimate and honoured in the calendar.

Do you work with procurement or through designers?

Both. Some jobs come from the property's procurement team, some through the design firm on the project. The workflow is the same either way, and approval flows to whoever holds the spec.

Send the property, an approximate count of pieces and either your brand book or your designer's spec. An estimate comes back the same week.
