Reupholstery and restoration
Furniture Reupholstery and Restoration
Stripped, then rebuilt.
Sofas, chairs, antiques and leather pieces taken down to the frame and built back up: new webbing, new foam, and the fabric of your choice. Most pieces are back in the room within a week.

6 kinds of furniture reupholstery.
If the frame is good, almost anything that sits in a room can come through the bench.
01Sofas and sectionals
3-seaters, sectionals and sleeper sofas stripped to the frame and rebuilt. New webbing and foam under the fabric you choose.
02Chairs and recliners
Wingbacks, club chairs, recliners and occasional chairs. The mechanism serviced where there is 1, the frame put right where it needs it.
03Leather furniture
Full leather reupholstery, panel replacement and repair. Hides matched for grain and colour, seams sewn the way the original maker intended.
04Antiques and heirlooms
Pieces worth keeping in the family, rebuilt without erasing what makes them original. Horsehair, hand-tied springs and period detail kept where they belong.
05Custom slipcovers
Fitted slipcovers cut to your piece, not to an approximate size. A second life for the sofa without a full rebuild, or a summer change for 1 that just had 1.
06Dining chairs and benches
Slip seats, dining chairs and bench pads turned around in batches, so the whole set reads consistent when it goes back around the table.
What a rebuild includes
What a full rebuild includes.
A reupholstered piece is not fabric stapled over whatever was underneath. The piece comes down to the frame: webbing replaced, springs retied or renewed, foam cut fresh in the density the seat actually needs, and only then the fabric. That is why a rebuilt sofa sits the way it did the day it was made.
On the benchEvery piece is stripped, photographed and rebuilt in our own workroom.
How a rebuild runs
How furniture reupholstery works.
From photos to back-in-the-room, most residential pieces run about a week once fabric lands.
Send photos
A few photos of the piece and a rough idea of what you want it to become. We come back with an honest read on whether the frame deserves the work.
Estimate and fabric
Cost and timeline agreed, fabric chosen from your book or ours. You approve both before anything is stripped.
Strip and rebuild
The piece comes down to the frame in our workroom. Webbing, springs and foam renewed, then the new fabric cut and sewn to the piece.
Back in the room
Pickup and delivery both ways if you want it. Most pieces are back within a week of fabric landing.
Workrooms, 3 coastal cities

Before you write
Reupholstery questions we get most.
If yours is not here, put it in the message box and we will answer it in the estimate.
Is reupholstering worth it, or should I just buy new?
Depends on the frame. A hardwood frame with good joinery is worth more than most new furniture at the same price, and reupholstering it gives you the fabric you actually want. A stapled softwood frame usually is not. Send photos and we will tell you honestly which 1 you have.
How long does reupholstery take?
Most residential pieces are back within a week once the fabric lands. Leather work and antiques run longer because the material and the detail demand it. The estimate comes with a working date.
Can you fix a broken frame or sagging springs?
Yes. Frame repair, joint reglueing, spring retying and webbing replacement are part of the rebuild, not an extra trade. If the piece needs structural work, it happens before any fabric goes near it.
Do you work on leather?
Yes. Full leather reupholstery, single-panel replacement and repair. Hides are matched for grain and colour, and seams are sewn the way the original maker intended.
Do you offer pickup and delivery?
Yes, both ways, with our own van and drivers. Priced with the estimate, anywhere along coastal South Carolina.
